Barn Party is an annual community gathering of friends for a weekend of art and movement, light and water.
It's a three-day event of camping, music, water, forest, friends, dance, and magic.
This event was founded and continues to be organized by Adlai.
Barn Party takes place on a private property in a quiet corner of Central New Hampshire. While elements take shape each year, here's the layout of the grounds.
Airplane Mode
Barn Party is a Phones-Not-Encouraged event. Plan to turn your phone off when you arrive. (Photos/videos with phone welcome but Airplane Mode encouraged!)
Barn Party is powered by the people! If you're interested in helping before, during, or after you can sign up to volunteer. We'll update this when sign-ups are live.
A link to RSVP has been shared with folks who are following the Instagram page or are in contact with the host, and everyone who has RSVP'd will receive directions closer to the event so that you can navigate safely to BP11.
If you're coming from Boston, New York, or Philly, keep an eye out for updates on these pages for carpooling sign ups. Lots of people come from the cities and you can definitely hitch a ride with someone!
Please read the Community Expectations. We all hold each other accountable at Barn Party
Vegetarian chili dinner is served Friday night for those arriving early, and Saturday evening there's a vegan dinner for all.
Coffee & tea are provided on Saturday morning, and the Pantry will be available all day on Saturday for you to share extra food you brought or grab a snack if you didn't bring enough. Please plan on bringing everything you'll need for the weekend since food stores are far away, plus extra to share with your neighbor.
Sharing is caring! It's easy to lose track of time at BP, but make sure you're eating plenty to enjoy the weekend safely.
You can definitely make your own meals throughout the weekend with your own camping cooking equipment. If you have one, propane grills can be used anywhere on site, but please note that if you'd like to cook with your own charcoal grill, you can only do so in the sandy part of Tent City (AKA the Desert). If you're planning on cooking hot meals, choose your camp site accordingly when you arrive.
No open fires are allowed outside of the already-loved fire pit at the pond and the Satur Night fire pit in front of the barn.
Multiple portopotties will be available, plus a beautiful outdoor composting toilet.
Please pee in the woods as much as possible!
Barn Party takes place on a private property in Central, NH. Most people bring their own camping gear and camp in the yard. There is an indoor space in the barn with couches, and usually a couple people end up crashing there.
We ask that everyone who attends Barn Party is up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines. After careful thought, this is the best way to ensure the safety of the community as a whole. If you're not vaccinated against COVID, we kindly ask you to sit this year out.
It's a good idea to follow the event's instagram or Facebook page to get regular updates, and if someone ends up testing positive in a way that might have exposed the group, we'll post an update on both platforms.
Any woodsy shoes will do, but Tevas are the official footwear of Barn Party
